Fleet/Vessel Monitoring & Onboard Control, Suisun Bay Reserve Fleet Benicia, CA

January 4, 2013 by Jack Goldwasser

We have completed the first year of a four-year project to remotely monitor fire, flood, humidity, and Cathodic protection viability on U.S. Dept. of Transportation Maritime Administration fleet of reserve vessels. Initial requirements included design and installation of a Base Station and radio-based monitoring system for 13 vessels. Data is displayed locally and accessible via MARAD Intranet interface. Left, Battleship Iowa, one of the vessels included in project.
